Plaintiffs’ action for damages to their property is based on the claimed negligence of defendant in installing and maintaining drainage facilities on Primera Avenue, a street in defendant city of Los Angeles upon which plaintiffs’ property abuts, resulting in the seepage of water into and an overflow on plaintiffs’ land, destroying the improvements thereon.
