*559LANDAU, J.

Defendant appeals his conviction for possession of a controlled substance, ORS 475.992, assigning error to the trial court’s denial of his motion to suppress. We reverse and remand.

In early 1993, an informant named Bullís told Detective Hennelly of the West Linn Police Department that he had been to a house where a woman named “Tammy” lived. Bullís gave the street name for the house and generally described its location and appearance.
