On November 27, 1903, Jerome Churchill filed his accounts as guardian of the children of Charles B. Boyes, deceased. Although he was appointed as such guardian on July 10, 1890, this was the first account rendered to the court. There were eight of the children, and a separate account was filed for each child. At the time of filing the accounts, five children—namely, Alice Amelia Boyes, Mattie Angeline Boyes, John Ethan Boyes, Fannie Jane Boyes, and Damie Elizabeth Boyes—had become of age.
