The defendants, the city of Derby and Fairfield Insurance Company/ESIS, appeal from the decision of the workers’ compensation review board (board) affirming the findings and award of the workers’ compensation commissioner, ordering the payment of death benefits to the plaintiff Sharon Chesler, the dependent widow of the decedent, Nathan Chesler.
