The plaintiff employee, Rosalie McDonough, claimed workers’ compensation benefits from her employer, the defendant Connecticut Bank and Trust *105Company, as a result of unusual emotional stress at work which accelerated underlying physical conditions and precipitated the onset of disabling heart disease.
