The named defendant, Syncor International Corporation,1 appeals from the judgment of the Appellate Court reversing the decision of the workers’ compensation review board (board) dismissing the claim for workers’ compensation benefits filed by the plaintiff, Gregory Kolomiets. The dispositive issue in this certified appeal is whether the injuries suffered by the plaintiff arose out of and in the course of his employment and, consequently, whether the plaintiff is entitled to benefits under our workers’ compensation system.
