These actions under the Federal employers’ liability act to recover in the first case for the conscious suffering and death of the plaintiff’s intestate, and in the second for the death of the plaintiff’s intestate, are brought by the widows of Thomas P. Hanley and Jeremiah J. Murphy, respectively, as administratrices of their husbands’ estates. The cases were consolidated by agreement of the parties, and are before this court by a joint bill of exceptions.
