FERGUSON, Judge:

Tried by general court-martial convened by the Commanding General, 1st Infantry Division, the accused, upon his plea of guilty, was convicted of absence without leave, in violation of Uniform Code of Military Justice, Article 86, 10 USC § 886, and sentenced to bad-*275conduct discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement at hard labor for one year.
