Homer Ferguson, Judge:

It was to consider the extent of the law officer’s activities, both before and during trial, which prompted us to grant review in this case. Two issues are presented. The first deals with a claim of'disqualification of the law officer by reason of his having prepared the pretrial advice for the convening authority pursuant to Article 34, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 834. The second concerns his presence during the closed session of the court-martial while deliberating on the sentence. The facts which gave rise to the accused’s conviction…
