In this delayed appeal defendant seeks reversal of his conviction for gross sexual imposition. His counsel argues that the trial court erred in denying his motion to dismiss for failure to comply with statutory speedy trial requirements, and in permitting defendant’s trial counsel to withdraw the plea of not guilty by reason of insanity without the court having personally questioned defendant about his desire to do so.
