This is an appeal from an order denying the motion of the defendant Mordecai for a change of venue. The plaintiff filed a complaint in the city and county of San Francisco containing four separate and distinct causes of action against four separate defendants praying separate and distinct relief against each defendant upon the cause of action specially pleaded as to him. The defendant Mordecai moved for a change of venue to the county of Madera, which was the county of his legal residence.
