ZARELLA, J.
The defendant, the board of education of Regional School District Number 10 (board), appeals from the trial court’s judgment rendered in accordance with that court’s granting of the plaintiff David Vibert’s motion for summary judgment and issuance of a writ of mandamus compelling the board to provide the plaintiff with legal counsel to defend a certain civil action brought against him. The board claims that the trial court improperly determined that General Statutes § 10-235 (b)1 requires the board to provide the plaintiff with *169legal representation. We agree and,…
