The plaintiff, Dominic Orticelli, brought this action on July 6,1981, pursuant to the federal Civil Rights Act of 1871; 42 U.S.C. § 1983; against the defendants, the town of Bethel’s board of education and its members (hereinafter referred to as the board), seeking monetary damages and injunctive relief for the wrongful termination of his teaching contract, allegedly on July 1,1978.
