Action to recover on a promissory note for the sum of |2,500 with interest at eight per cent per annum. The note was dated August 27, 1926. The indebtedness represented by said note was created in the first instance on March 18, 1921, on which date a promissory note for the sum of $2,500 with interest at eight per cent per annum was executed and delivered by the defendant. Thereafter said note was renewed every six months up to the time the note in suit was given and on the occasion of each renewal the payee therein named exacted and the defendant paid the sum of $125 as a bonus for such…
