In this petition for a writ of mandate/prohibition, petitioner seeks to prevent the trial of a personal injury action now pending before the respondent superior court.

On August 30, 1974, real party in interest (Rachel) filed a complaint in respondent court in Sacramento for personal injuries allegedly arising out of an automobile collision occurring in the State of Nevada in December 1973.
