I. INTRODUCTION
This appeal arises from opposition to a proposed residential development on a former gravel pit in south Anchorage. Approval of the development by the municipal planning authority was contingent on submission of evidence indicating that local groundwater supplies would not be contaminated by the development. Evidence to that effect was submitted by the developers and the plats were approved.
