Brown v. Ruffenach
California Supreme Court
1Opinion of the CourtCurtis, J.
This appeal is taken from an order of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, sitting in probate, denying any allowance for attorney's fees to the County Counsel of Los Angeles for services rendered the Public Administrator in the administration of the above estate. The sole question presented on this appeal is whether or not the County "Counsel legally may collect the statutory attorney’s fees for services rendered to the Public Administrator in the administration of an estate, when the county charter requires the fees so collected by the County Counsel to be paid into the county treasury.
