This appeal arises out of a proceeding by the original plaintiff herein, Schuler-Knox Company, a corporation, to quiet title to certain real property located in Siskiyou County and to eject appellants therefrom. Respondents are the successors in interest to the said Schuler-Knox Company. It is the second time the case has been before this court. In our previous decision, which was entitled Schuler-Knox Co. v. Frank C. Smith, et al., and is reported in 62 Cal.App.2d 86 [144 P.2d 47], the judgment of the trial court in favor of the plaintiff was reversed, primarily upon the grounds that since…
