The plaintiff sued on a promissory note given by the defendants to J. Crouch & Son for a stallion purchased from them to be used for breeding purposes. The defendants pleaded that the consideration for the note had failed; that the plaintiff had knowledge of that fact; that the plaintiff had not *709purchased the note prior to its maturity for a valuable consideration; and that the plaintiff was holding the note and suing on it for the accomodation of J.
