Appellant was charged in an information in count one with the violation of Act No. 1906, subdivision 1, General Laws (Stats. 1911, p. 9), that on January 16, 1937, in Fresno County, he “procured a female person for a house of prostitution, and by promises induced, ... a female person to become an inmate of a house of prostitution”.
