BACKGROUND

In this action the petitioner seeks judicial review of a decision hy the Secretary of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) 1 denying petitioner relief from federal firearms disabilities. In 1968, petitioner pleaded guilty to charges of fraudulent use of credit cards and obtaining merchandise by false pretenses. As a result of his conviction, he was placed under certain firearms disabilities, under the Gun Control Act of 1968, 18 U.S.C. § 921 et seq. 2 Since 1968, petitioner has not been convicted nor arrested for any criminal offense.…
