CAPPY, Justice.

We granted allowance of appeal in these consolidated matters to review whether jurisdiction over the appellants’ parole requests was retained by the common pleas court or rested with the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole (Parole Board), where appellants were each sentenced to consecutive prison terms having a maximum aggregate sentence of two or more years, but with each component maximum sentence being less than two years.
