Petitioners Erin Lee and Walker Edmiston are defendants in an underlying action for personal injuries brought by real parties in interest Sherrie and John Lagomarsino (hereinafter plaintiffs). Petitioners (hereinafter defendants) moved in respondent court for an order directing *701plaintiff Sherrie Lagomarsino to submit to an independent medical examination. The court granted the motion on condition—requested by plaintiffs—the examination be videotaped.
