The defendant, Wilfredo Benitez, appeals from the judgments of the trial court convicting him of three counts of sale of marijuana in violation of General Statutes § 21a-277 (b)1 and one count of attempt to sell a controlled substance in violation of General Statutes §§ 21a-277 (b) and 53a-49.2 After accepting the defendant’s guilty pleas, the court imposed a total effective sentence of six years imprisonment, suspended after thirty-three months served and three years of probation with special conditions.
