The Attorney Grievance Commission, acting through Bar Counsel, filed a petition for disciplinary action against Nathan H. Christopher, Jr. (Respondent) for violation of the Maryland Rule 16-812, Maryland Rules of Professional Conduct (MRPC). Bar Counsel also alleged that Respondent violated Maryland Rules 16-604 (Trust account — Required deposits),1 *62716-607 (Commingling of funds),2 and Maryland Code (1989, 1995 Repl.Vol.), § 10-306 of the Business and Occupation Article.3 With respect to the MRPC, the petition alleged that Respondent violated Rule 1.1 (Competence),4 1.3 (Diligenc*628e),…
