JONES, Senior Judge:

A general court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members convicted appellant contrary to his pleas of one specification of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm on a child under the age of 16 years in violation of Article 128, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. Sec. 928. The sentence to confinement for 18 months and reduction in rate to pay *1057grade E-l was approved by the convening authority. Appellant’s assigned errors1 will be addressed in order.
