SULLIVAN, Chief Judge:

During May and June of 1987, appellant was tried by a general court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members at Yongsan Military Reservation, Republic of Korea. Contrary to his pleas, he was found guilty of two specifications of committing indecent acts with his 10-year-old stepdaughter on diverse occasions between April 1984 and March 1987. Art. 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 934. He was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement for 7 years, forfeiture of $500.00 pay per month for 42 months, and reduction to E-l. The…
