Ferguson, Judge:

Following his plea of guilty to a charge of desertion, with intent to shirk important service, at a rehearing before a general court-martial, convened at Camp Pendleton, California, on February 21, 1968, the accused was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, total forfeitures, and confinement at hard labor for one year. Pursuant to a pretrial agreement, the convening authority, while he approved the sentence, suspended execution of all portions thereof for fifteen months, with provision for automatic remission.
