Homer Ferguson, Judge:

The accused was convicted by general court-martial of desertion resulting from a prolonged absence of approximately eleven years, in violation of the 58th Article of War, 10 USC § 1530. He was sentenced to dishonorable discharge, total forfeitures, and confinement at hard labor fpr fifteen years. The convening authority reduced the confinement to ten years but otherwise approved.
