ROBERT E. Quinn, Chief Judge:

A general court-martial in Japan convicted the accused of unpremeditated murder, in violation of Article U8, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 50 USC § 712, and of a number of other *86offenses in violation of the Code. He was sentenced to dishonorable discharge, total forfeitures, and confinement at hard labor for life. The convening authority approved the sentence.
