delivered the opinion of the Court.

During October of 1996, appellant was tried by a general court-martial consisting of officer and enlisted members at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. Contrary to his pleas, he was found guilty of rape, forcible sodomy, indecent assault of A.G., and providing alcohol to A.G. while she was a minor, in violation of Articles 120, 125, and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 920, 925, and 934, respectively.
