The defendant, the administrator of the Unemployment Compensation Act, appeals from the judgment of the trial court sustaining the appeal of the plaintiff, Evelyn Bennett, and remanding the case to the employment security board of review for a hearing to determine the amount of benefits to be awarded. On appeal, the administrator claims that the trial court improperly construed General Statutes § 31-236 (a) (2) (A) (ii)1 to eliminate the requirement that Bennett must be available for work in order to be eligible for benefits under General Statutes § 31-235 (a) (2).2 We reverse the judgment of…
