Curtin, filed a claim for unemployment compensation benefits against her former employer, Betteridge Jewelers, Inc. (Betteridge), a jewelry store located in Greenwich. Curtin claimed that since she left her employment with Betteridge involuntarily and without misconduct on her part, she was entitled to benefits.
