SHORT, J., pro tem.
This is an action by a shipper against the carrier to recover for the total loss of a ship ment of four bales of goatskins, the goods having disappeared after their delivery to the carrier for carriage from San Francisco to Wilmington, Delaware. Judgment was given in favor of the plaintiff for the admitted value of the goods. The appeal is by the defendants.
