This is an appeal from a judgment entered upon a guilty verdict for the offense of operating a motor vehicle on a highway while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. 28 V.S.A. § 1201(a) (2). On the night of September 30, 1978, the defendant, a truck driver, departed from his home in Somerville, Massachusetts, en route to Stanhope, Quebec.
