The defendants1 appeal from the judgment

of the trial court rendered in favor of the plaintiffs2 on their complaint and on the defendants’ counterclaim. The plaintiffs’ complaint alleges that the defendants tortiously interfered with their sale of the land to the state of Connecticut. The defendants’ counterclaim alleges that the plaintiffs breached a contract with the defendants with respect to a portion of the subject land and that the plaintiffs violated the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act (CUTPA), General Statutes § 42-110a et seq.3 The defendants assert that the trial court (1)…
