The Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles granted a special permit to operate a rock quarry and crushing plant, a sand and gravel pit, and an asphalt plant upon three parcels of land in Malibu Canyon. The permit was granted under the county zoning ordinance.
The surrounding property is mountainous brush land. The area is unclassified. In such areas special permits are granted for various industrial enterprises.
