The plaintiff, Maria Serrano, appeals from the judgment of the trial court rendered in favor of the defendant J. William Bums, commissioner of transportation,1 following the granting of the defendant’s motion for summary judgment. The dispositive issue on appeal is whether the plaintiffs written notice of claim was so patently defective that it failed to meet the statutory requirements of the highway defect statute, General Statutes § 13a-144,2 and, therefore, warranted the sum*23mary judgment rendered in favor of the defendant.
