G. W. Ledgerwood and others, the defendants in error, as plaintiffs, brought an action in the district court of Craig county against J. R. Roberts and others, plaintiffs in error, as defendants. The defendants composed the board of county commissioners of Craig county.- The action was brought by the plaintiffs as taxpayers and as officers of the various township boards of Craig county and sought to enjoin the defendants from discharging the duties of the various township boards and also to enjoin them from receiving any compensation for certain road duties to be performed •by them.
