— Elton E. Kunselman, hereinafter called plaintiff, brought suit against Southern Pacific Railroad Company, a corporation, and Arizona Eastern Railroad Company, a corporation, hereinafter called defendants. After the usual formal allegations, he set up his cause of action as follows:
“That the defendants are indebted to the plaintiff in the sum of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000), on account of services rendered and moneys advanced, to and for the benefit of the said defendants and at their special instance and request, between the 2d day of January, 1919, and the 5th day of December, 1921,…
