Plaintiff Valerie Bias appeals the entry of judgment under

Code of Civil Procedure section 998 (all further statutory references are to the Code of Civil Procedure unless otherwise indicated). In this personal injury action, Bias served defendant Michelle D. Wright with a written offer to compromise under section 998. Wright claims Bias’s offer was orally accepted on her behalf.
