This appeal involves consideration of discovery violations and sanctions and their interaction with procedural rules pertaining to summary judgment.

Appellee, Marjorie Wolloch, filed a medical malpractice complaint in 1994 against Doctors Aiken, Meltzer, and Keohane, and against Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Pennsylvania Hospital.
