OPINION OF THE COURT

GILLEY, Judge:

A military judge sitting as a general court-martial found appellant, pursuant to his pleas, guilty of five specifications of forgery in violation of Article 123, Uniform Code of Military Justice [hereinafter UCMJ], 10 U.S.C. § 923 (1982).1 The military judge sentenced him to a dishonorable discharge, confinement for three years, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and reduction to the grade of Private E-l.
