Husband appeals from a dissolution judgment, assigning error to the trial court’s division of the marital estate. Wife cross-appeals, also contending that there were errors in the property division. On de novo review, we modify the trial court’s division of property.

The parties were married in 1976 after living together for approximately one year. This was the second marriage for both. Wife is 40 years old. She is an attorney working as a clerk for a federal court. Husband, 52, is an attorney in private practice. Their incomes are approximately the same. The dissolution judgment was entered…
