The appellant, Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board, charged the ap-pellee, Todd Buchanan, with violations of the Iowa Code of Professional Responsibility for Lawyers based on Buchanan’s offer to settle a client’s dispute by destroying evidence of a possibly forged document and by promising his client’s agreement not to cooperate with any criminal investigation.
