Plaintiff’s action resulted in a verdict for his adversary, and he appeals from an order denying his motion for a new trial.
The contractual relationship of the parties is that of lessee and lessor, plaintiff being the lessee, defendant the lessor. On February 1, 1941, a written lease was entered into under the terms of which plaintiff leased the premises described as “2225 West 50th Street” in Minneapolis for a period of two years, he taking “the said premises just as they are, without any liability or obligation” on the part of the lessor “of making any alterations,…
