This is an action brought upon a promissory note executed on behalf of the. corporation by the president and secretary of the Gate City Oil Company to recover from the directors of that corporation, acting as trustees, after the forfeiture of the corporate charter for nonpayment of the license and franchise tax. The plaintiff recovered judgment and two of the defendants appeal. The note sued oh was given in renewal of notes executed for the purchase price of supplies furnished by the plaintiff to "the defunct corporation.
