Defendant appeals from his conviction for kidnapping in the second degree. He assigns as errors the denial of his motion for judgment of acquittal, the imposition of costs and the requirement that he pay a probationary fee during the course of his probation. We consider only the issues of costs and the probationary fee.
In March, 1980, defendant took the victim, a ten-year old girl who is his second cousin, from her school ground and transported her to California. The girl remained with defendant for approximately one month before he was arrested and she was returned to her family in Oregon.…
