This is a suit against Peters, the sub-vendee of an automobile, for the collection of the balance due upon certain promissory notes executed by the original vendee, as a part of the purchase price. Peters is sued as upon conversion; the contention being that, in the deferred purchase-money notes, title was retained to the car to secure the amount of said notes.
