Doster, C. J.:

This was an action on a bond, required by statute, of a firm of persons engaged in the business of making abstracts of real-estate titles. Verdict and judgment were rendered for the plaintiffs, to reverse which the defendants have prosecuted error to this court.

The first claim of error involves a question of. jurisdiction, under the statute, over the defendants, and the second one involves the construction of the statute and the application of a constitutional provision to it. The act in question is chapter 1, Laws of 1889. (Gen. Stat.…
